Adler-Skistadion, Ski jumping complex in Hinterzarten, Germany
Adler-Skistadion is a ski jumping complex in Hinterzarten, Germany. It consists of four jumps: a large hill (K99, HS109) and three smaller ones (K15, K30, K70), all equipped with mats for year-round use.
The first jump was built in 1924 near the Adlerwirt inn, and the first competition took place in 1925. Over the years, the facility was expanded and modernized, with the latest renovation completed in 2022.
The name Adler-Skistadion comes from the nearby eagle nests, and the main jump is also called Rothaus-Schanze after a local brewery. Today, the site is a training base for national teams from various countries, and the annual summer Grand Prix in August draws top athletes.
The complex is open year-round, and guided tours of the jumps are available on request. Visitors can watch training sessions from designated areas, and the best time to see athletes in action is during the summer months.
The main jump is currently the smallest large hill in the world, with a hill size of 109 meters. The complex also has a wind tunnel for ski jumping simulations, which is unusual for a training center.
