Fleischbrücke, Stone arch bridge over Pegnitz River in Nuremberg, Germany.

The Fleisch Bridge spans 27 meters with a single flat arch design, connecting the districts of St. Sebald and St. Lorenz in central Nuremberg.

Built between 1596 and 1598, this stone structure replaced an earlier bridge that suffered frequent damage from floods along the Pegnitz River.

The bridge portal features a stone bull figure and Latin inscriptions, representing the connection to the former meat market and local trade activities.

The bridge structure rests on 2000 wooden piles driven into the riverbed, supporting the weight distribution across its 15-meter width.

At the time of construction, the Fleisch Bridge contained the largest masonry arch in Germany, with a span-to-rise ratio of 6.4 to 1.
