Fort im Park von Sanssouci, Military model fortress in Park Sanssouci, Germany
The triangular fortress structure spans 40 meters in length and 15 meters in depth, built to a 1:10 scale with detailed artillery positions.
Krupp company constructed this model fortress in 1893 to demonstrate new military technology and fortification designs to Emperor Wilhelm II.
The fortress represents significant advances in German military engineering, featuring innovative defensive structures and artillery placement configurations from the period.
Since November 2004, the fortress remains inaccessible to visitors as the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation covered the ruins.
The structure incorporates specific design elements by Henri Alexis Brialmont for combined artillery and infantry units within a single fortified position.
