The Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium incorporates modern digital boards in classrooms while maintaining its historical architecture from the late 19th century.
Founded in 1875 through a citizens' initiative as a higher education institution for girls, the school started with 60 female students on May 3rd.
The school commemorates the White Rose resistance group with a monument installed in 1991 and the square in front renamed to 'White Rose Square' in 2021.
Students can participate in a bilingual French program starting from grade 5, which includes history and geography classes taught in French.
Every February 22nd, the school organizes a special day dedicated to Hans and Sophie Scholl, engaging students with the values of these historical figures.
