Langemarck-Kaserne, Military barracks in Koblenz, Germany
Langemarck-Kaserne is a military complex in Koblenz containing multiple storage buildings, a guardhouse, administrative structures, and former horse stables spread across substantial grounds. The main entrance faces the eastern side through Mariahilfstraße.
Construction began in 1907 as a clothing depot for the VIII Army Corps on previously occupied ground. The facility has undergone changes since then while maintaining its military function.
The site now houses Bundeswehr administrative offices in its preserved buildings. This continued military use shows how older installations remain functional for modern defense purposes.
Access is primarily from the eastern side through Mariahilfstraße, with other entry points modified by road changes over time. Keep in mind that this remains an active military facility with limited visitor access.
A fragment of a 16th-century tombstone remains visible at the southern edge of the grounds. Parts of medieval Moselflesche fortifications are also still recognizable within the site.
