One Forty West

One Forty West is a 145-meter high-rise in Frankfurt with 41 floors above ground and 4 below, wrapped in white aluminum facades. The lower section contains a hotel with 430 rooms and conference spaces, while residential units occupy the upper portion.

The structure rose on the site of the 116-meter AfE university tower from 1970, which was demolished in 2014. Construction started in 2016 and was completed in 2020.

The building brings together apartments and a four-star hotel in one place, showing how Frankfurt blends different uses in modern architecture. Walking through the entrance areas, you notice how guests and residents share common spaces.

Keep in mind that this building serves both hotel and residential functions, with separate entry points for each use. The white aluminum facade is visible from many spots in the city and works well as a landmark for finding your way around.

Residents enjoy access to unusual amenities such as personal wine cellars and a dog washing station in the basement. A restaurant on the 15th floor offers dining with views over the city.
