Monument to the March Dead, Cultural heritage monument at Historic Cemetery, Weimar, Germany.

The Monument to the March Dead stands as a concrete memorial structure with angular shapes rising from the ground at the Historic Cemetery.

Walter Gropius and Fred Forbát designed this memorial in 1922 to commemorate the workers who died during the Kapp Putsch of 1920.

The monument represents an early example of abstract memorial architecture in Germany, incorporating principles from the Bauhaus movement.

Visitors can reach the monument by following the main path from the Historic Cemetery entrance at Berkaer Street in Weimar.

The Nazis demolished the original structure in 1936, leading to its reconstruction in 1946 to maintain its memorial function.
