Delta Municipality

Delta Municipality is an administrative division in the Thessaloniki region that spans flat terrain with farmland, wetlands, and industrial areas. The area comprises several communities and is defined by its proximity to the Thermaic Gulf.

The municipality was formed in 2011 through the merger of several districts into a single administrative unit. This restructuring combined areas with long-established rural and agricultural traditions into a modern governance framework.
