Municipal Art Gallery, Art museum in Thessaloniki, Greece
The Municipal Art Gallery occupies three buildings, including Villa Bianca, an eclectic-style mansion on Vassilissis Olgas Avenue in Thessaloniki.
The gallery, established in 1966 as an extension of the Municipal Library, relocated to Villa Bianca in 2013 after previously operating from Villa Mordoch.
The collection spans over 1,000 artworks divided into sections of Thessalonian Artists, Modern Greek Engravings, Byzantine Icons, Modern Greek Art, and Sculptures.
Visitors can access the gallery from Tuesday through Friday between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, with no admission fee required for entry.
The gallery presented the first exhibition in Greece of Nikolaos Gyzis family-owned works in 1999, displaying drawings and paintings from his travels.
