Bosquet des Bains-d'Apollon, Garden grove in Versailles, France
The Bosquet features a central lake dominated by an artificial rock structure with waterfalls and a grotto housing classical sculptural groups.
Originally created in 1670 as the Marais Grove by Le Notre, the space was redesigned between 1778 and 1781 during Louis XVI's reign.
The grotto displays the masterful marble sculptures of Apollo served by nymphs and the Horses of the Sun created by Girardon and Regnaudin.
Water fountain displays operate twice in the afternoon, from 2:30 to 3:15 and from 4:00 to 4:45, during the Musical Fountains Show.
The English-style garden layout, designed by painter Hubert Robert, integrates artificial rocks with classical French sculptures in an innovative composition.
