Bowl of Marseille, Concrete skatepark in Marseille, France

The Bowl of Marseille is a concrete structure with curved walls forming a deep basin on multiple levels. The layout creates different heights and surfaces for performing tricks and maneuvers.

The structure was designed by Jean-Pierre Collinet in 1991 and was one of the first permanent skateboarding facilities in France. It emerged during a period of growing interest in the sport.

The place draws skateboarders from around the world who come to train and connect with others. You will see riders of all skill levels sharing the space and watching one another's tricks.

The site is open every day without entrance fees and welcomes visitors of all skill levels. It is located at easily accessible coordinates in the city.

The design cleverly incorporates natural ground slopes to create varying depths throughout the basin. This terrain variation helps skaters maintain continuous momentum while riding.
