Pointe d'Anterne

Pointe d'Anterne rises to 2,733 meters above sea level within the Chablais Alps, featuring steep slopes and alpine terrain near Lake Geneva.

The mountain served as a reference point for local shepherds throughout centuries, guiding their seasonal movements across the Alpine pastures.

The mountain stands within the Réserve naturelle de Sixt-Passy, where traditional alpine farming practices continue with cattle grazing during summer months.

Hikers can access the summit through marked trails from Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, with the Refuge de Moëde Anterne providing overnight accommodation 1,316 meters from the peak.

The peak ranks as the third highest mountain in the Réserve naturelle de Passy among nineteen summits, offering views across multiple Alpine ranges.
