Gorges de la Diosaz, Natural gorge in Servoz, France.
Gorges de la Diosaz is a natural canyon with limestone walls and cascading waterfalls located in the Mont-Blanc region near Servoz. Established walkways guide visitors safely through the narrow passage at approximately 900 m elevation.
The gorge was first opened to visitors in the late 1800s when pathways were carved through the cliffs. This transformation turned a remote natural site into an accessible destination for travelers.
The name comes from the stream that has carved through the rock over countless centuries. Walking through, you can see how water continues to shape the landscape today.
Wear sturdy shoes and watch your step, as the paths are narrow and sometimes slippery from water spray. Plan your visit during dry weather to avoid slipping on wet rocks.
Some of the pathways through this place were carved directly into the rock face and are barely a few meters wide in spots. You walk literally between the cliff walls as water streams down overhead.
