Monte Bertrand, Mountain peak in Ligurian Alps, Italy and France

Monte Bertrand rises to an elevation of 2484 meters, forming part of the border between Piedmont, Italy and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France.

Before World War II, Monte Bertrand belonged entirely to Italy until the Paris Peace Treaties of 1947 established the current French-Italian border.

The mountain's summit features a traditional stone cairn and cross visible from both Upega village in Italy and Morignolo in France.

Hikers can reach the summit through unmarked footpaths connecting from Colla Rossa saddle or Colle delle Selle Vecchie crossing Cima Valega.

The mountain connects three distinct ridges at its peak, with the western ridge separating two tributary valleys of the Roya River.
