The mountain stands as a natural boundary marker between France and Italy, reflecting centuries of territorial divisions in the Cottian Alps region.

Mountain guides from both Italian and French sides maintain traditional Alpine climbing routes, preserving mountaineering knowledge through generations of local communities.

Climbers can access the summit via the T2-grade hiking trail, with the Bivacco Danilo Sartore shelter positioned 1,574 meters east-southeast for overnight stays.

The summit presents two distinct high points, with a metal cross marking the antecime and the true peak located 20 meters further to the south.
