Caulaincourt Bridge, Road bridge in 18th arrondissement of Paris, France

The Caulaincourt Bridge extends across the Montmartre Cemetery, supported by six cast-iron Doric columns that create a passage over numerous burial plots.

Constructed in 1888 after facing initial opposition, the bridge emerged from Georges-Eugène Haussmann's urban renovation plans to improve transportation around Montmartre.

The bridge connects different sections of Montmartre while passing over the final resting places of notable figures including writers Stendhal, Émile Zola, and composer Hector Berlioz.

Located near multiple bus lines and metro stations, the bridge functions as a primary connection point between different areas of the 18th arrondissement.

The structure presents an unusual architectural arrangement where the roofs of tombs in Montmartre Cemetery come close to touching the base of the bridge.
