Pic Ombière

Pic Ombière is an Alpine peak in the Cerces massif rising to 2,832 meters above sea level. From this summit, the surrounding slopes and ridges extend in multiple directions, creating a ridge-like terrain that connects to neighboring peaks.

The peak's name became established on modern French maps, whereas earlier cartographic records only listed elevation figures. This recent naming reflects improved topographic surveys of the Alpine region.

The mountain represents a significant landmark in the French Alps, where local communities maintain strong connections to alpine sports and outdoor activities.
