Chulevi Monastery, Medieval Orthodox monastery in Samtskhe-Javakheti, Georgia.
The monastery stands on the left bank of the Kvabliani River, featuring a rectangular interior space with a dome supported by altar walls.
Built in the 14th century, the monastery experienced decline under Ottoman rule and was completely abandoned by 1595, with local Christians hiding church bells.
The interior walls contain medieval Georgian inscriptions and frescoes painted by artist Arsen in 1381, including portraits of the Jaqeli princely family.
The monastery site connects to nearby attractions through hiking trails, with access routes leading to Zanavi Fortress and Okro Fortress in the region.
Local residents preserved religious artifacts by burying them in surrounding woods during Ottoman occupation, recovering them in the 1980s for museum display.
