Treasury of Atreus, Beehive tomb in Mycenae, Greece.

The Treasury of Atreus features a circular chamber with a dome structure built from corbeled blocks of conglomerate masonry reaching 15 meters in height.

Dating to approximately 1250 BCE, this tholos tomb represented the engineering capabilities of Mycenaean builders during the Late Bronze Age period.

The monument contains a ceremonial passageway lined with cyclopean masonry leading to a main chamber for rituals and a side chamber for burials.

Located outside the citadel walls of Mycenae, visitors can access the tomb through a 36-meter-long entrance passage that remains open throughout the year.

The entrance incorporates a monumental lintel weighing 120 tons, measuring 9 meters in length, which stands as the largest stone block in prehistoric architecture.
