Bruvno

Bruvno is a settlement in the Gračac municipality within Zadar County, situated at approximately 750 meters elevation in a mountainous region. The village spreads across a large area with typical houses and structures found in the Dinaric highland landscape.

The settlement was once a more significant place in the region and experienced major demographic shifts over the centuries. It reflects the complex history of the Dinaric territories, where different populations have lived at different times.

The Serbian Orthodox Church of Saint John the Baptist stands as a central religious structure within the settlement of Bruvno.

The location lies off main routes and is best reached by car, as roads in this highland area are narrow and winding. The nearby town of Gračac offers basic services and supplies for visitors and residents.

The settlement recorded 45 Vlach families during the 1712 census of Lika and Krbava, marking early documentation of its inhabitants.
