János Damjanich Museum, Regional history museum in Szolnok, Hungary.
The János Damjanich Museum occupies a neoclassical structure at Kossuth Square, displaying archaeological artifacts, historical items, and art collections from the region.
Established in 1933 through the efforts of historian Viktor Híld, the museum moved to its current location in 1952, formerly the Hungarian Royal Hotel from 1860.
The museum exhibits collections of pottery, traditional clothing, and regional folk art, along with paintings from the Szolnok Art Colony.
Located at 4 Kossuth Square in Szolnok, the museum opens Tuesday through Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for visitors to explore its collections.
The collection includes World War I paintings by László Mednyánszky and the Vasziliádisz Anesztisz assemblage of historical radios and televisions.
