Villa Romana Baláca, Roman villa and history museum in Nemesvámos, Hungary.
The archaeological complex contains residential buildings from the 3rd and 4th centuries, featuring preserved mosaic floors and wall paintings across 2,400 square meters.
First discovered in 1904 during ploughing activities, this site represents the largest known Roman farm in the former Pannonia Province of the Roman Empire.
The main residential building contains four restored mosaic floors, including a central 62-square-meter piece that displays Roman architectural and decorative techniques.
The villa museum operates from May through October, with guided tours available Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00 and weekends from 10:00 to 19:00.
The estate spans 55 hectares and includes a contemporary sundial garden designed to represent the passage of time through landscaped elements.
