The Petőfi Theatre features reinforced concrete construction with decorative elements and multiple performance spaces for theatrical productions throughout the year.
Established in 1908 through the Theatre Patrons Association initiative, this venue became the first reinforced concrete theatre structure in Hungary.
The theatre organizes two major annual events: the Róbert Rátonyi Operetta Festival and the Lélektől-lélekig Festival, bringing diverse performances to audiences.
The theatre box office operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering both individual tickets and season passes for performances.
The building combines modern engineering with traditional Hungarian architectural elements, reflecting architect István Medgyaszay's innovative design approach.
