Ashdod Light, Maritime navigation tower on Yona Hill in Ashdod, Israel
The concrete cylindrical tower stands 42 meters tall with its upper section featuring a red and white checkerboard pattern against gray concrete base.
The lighthouse commenced operations in 1966, incorporating the glass optic system transferred from the decommissioned Jaffa Light during the same year.
The lighthouse received recognition through its appearance on an Israeli postage stamp issued in November 2009, marking its role in maritime heritage.
The structure emits three white flashes every twenty seconds, guiding vessels within a range of 22 nautical miles along the Mediterranean coast.
The facility reaches a focal height of 76 meters above sea level, making it visible from considerable distances across the Mediterranean waters.
