Pikud Merkaz Square, Square at a former military crossing in Jerusalem, Israel

Pikud Merkaz Square sits at the intersection of Bar Lev Road and Shivtei Israel Street, serving as a connection point within Jerusalem's urban grid. The space is surrounded by buildings of varying heights and bridges several major thoroughfares together.

The square was named in February 1968, after the 1967 war, on the site of the former Mandelbaum Gate crossing between Israel and Jordan. The gate operated from 1948 to 1967 at the junction of Shmuel HaNavi Street and St. George's Road, and convoys to Mount Scopus passed through it. In 1996 the junction of Shivtei Israel and Shmuel HaNavi streets was also named Mandelbaum Square.

The square serves Jerusalem residents as a gathering spot for daily errands and casual encounters. People use the space for brief stops between activities in the surrounding area.

Several bus lines stop at this square and connect it to different parts of the city and surrounding neighborhoods. The location is easy to reach on foot and well connected by public transportation.

The Mandelbaum Gate was demolished after 1967; no trace of the crossing remains. In its place the city placed a sundial between the two light-rail tracks, and in 1996 the junction of Shivtei Israel and Shmuel HaNavi streets was renamed Mandelbaum Square.
