Khandadhar Falls, Sundagarh

Khandadhar Falls is a tall waterfall in Sundargarh district, India, where water drops over a steep rock face into a forested valley below. The water plunges over bare granite cliffs surrounded by thick greenery and sends a fine mist into the air when the flow is strong.

The falls were first documented in the early 20th century when British surveyors mapped the Sundargarh region. Later, the remote forests around them served as shelter for resistance fighters during the final decades of colonial rule.
