The National Gandhi Museum maintains personal belongings, including Gandhi's spectacles, walking stick, clothing, and an extensive collection of photographs documenting his life's journey.
Established in 1961 after multiple relocations from Mumbai, the museum found its permanent home near the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.
The museum library houses over 35,000 books and 2,000 periodicals in English and Hindi, serving as a research center for studies on Gandhi's philosophy.
Located adjacent to Raj Ghat memorial, the museum provides multilingual signage and educational programs for students interested in Gandhi's teachings and principles.
Visitors can listen to Gandhi's actual voice through a telephone receiver while viewing the bullet and clothes from the day of his assassination.
