ITO barrage, Water barrier on Yamuna River in Delhi, India.
The ITO barrage extends 552 meters across the Yamuna River, connecting the Paharganj district to the Ghaziabad Vikas Marg transportation route.
The barrage underwent structural improvements in 1988 with the enhancement of expansion joints to increase its capacity for vehicle weight distribution.
The area near ITO barrage contains several significant memorials, including Raj Ghat, and the Indira Gandhi Arena used during the 1982 Asian Games.
The water from ITO barrage supplies the cooling systems of the Indraprastha Power Generation facility at Rajghat Power Station.
The barrage forms part of National Waterway NW110 and operates under Haryana Government management, distinct from other Delhi water barriers.
