Sardar Patel Planetarium

Sardar Patel Planetarium is an astronomical facility featuring a 12.5-meter projection dome with advanced projection technology for shows. The complex includes a main seating hall and an open-air theatre space located below ground level.

The facility opened in 1976 after its foundation stone was laid in 1974 by a high-ranking official from the Atomic Energy Commission. This opening marked an important moment for science education in the region.

The name honors the Indian freedom fighter and first Home Minister, who left a lasting influence on the region. Shows are presented in local languages, reflecting the diverse community that visits this place.
