Poonkunnam Siva Temple is a Hindu temple in the Thrissur region with multiple shrines dedicated to different deities. The grounds hold sacred spaces for Parvati, Ganapathi, Ayyappan, Krishna as Parthasarathy, and Nagas.

Tradition holds that the lingam here is self-manifested (svayambhu) and that the consecration was performed by Parashurama, which places the shrine among the 108 Shiva temples of Kerala. The site is closely tied to Vadakkunnathan Temple: the belief is that Shiva and Parvati first resided at Poonkunnam before moving to Vadakkunnathan, and the same deities are held to dwell in both. The two-storey western gopuram was added in recent times.

The Shiva lingam here is believed to be self-manifested (svayambhu) and, unlike at Vadakkunnathan Temple, is not covered with ghee. Legend holds that Shiva and Parvati first resided at Poonkunnam before moving to Vadakkunnathan, and the site appears as "Ponganam" in the Sivalaya Namastotram.
