Kasauli Brewery

Kasauli Brewery is a stone structure in the Himalayas that produces malt whiskey using traditional distillation methods. The facility relies on copper pot stills as the core of its production process.

Edward Abraham Dyer founded the facility in the 1820s and brought equipment from Scotland and England. This made it the first brewery and distillery established anywhere in Asia.

The brewery follows Scottish whiskey-making traditions that took root in India generations ago. You can observe how these inherited techniques remain central to the daily work of the distillery.
