Madhavaram taluk is an administrative region in northern Chennai with residential neighborhoods, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities spread across multiple villages. The area functions as a significant transportation hub with a major bus terminal that connects local communities to other parts of the city.
The region was established in 2010 when it was separated from the neighboring Ambattur taluk. Later it underwent territorial reorganization in 2018 as part of administrative restructuring in Chennai district.
The population of 596,753 residents maintains regular community gatherings and celebrations that reflect Tamil Nadu traditions across eleven revenue villages.
The region has several schools and colleges offering education at different levels, plus hospitals and markets for daily needs. The bus terminus serves as the main point for travelers heading to various destinations within and outside the city.
