Chennai Port Trust Centenary Building

The building was constructed in 1997 to commemorate 100 years of service by Madras Harbour, which was later renamed Chennai Port. This centennial structure marks an important milestone in the city's port administration history.

The rooftop holds an 18-tonne radar system that scans weather conditions within a radius of approximately 500 kilometers. This specialized equipment is crucial for storm warnings and aircraft monitoring.
