Walk of the Stars

The Walk of the Stars is a pathway along the Bandstand Promenade displaying handprints and signatures of Bollywood performers on brass plates. The route runs along the seafront and features both the plates and bronze statues honoring cinema personalities.

The pathway was established in 2012 as a tribute to Indian cinema's key figures. Since its opening, new artists have been regularly added to reflect ongoing recognition of cinema contributions.

The walkway celebrates performers who shaped Indian cinema over many decades. Visitors notice how locals and tourists pause at certain plates, sharing stories about the actors and filmmakers honored here.

The pathway is open to visitors and runs along a public promenade with good lighting and sea views. Walking in early morning or late afternoon helps avoid the heat, and comfortable shoes are recommended for the full route.

Each bronze statue was created by renowned sculptors with specific details reflecting the honored person's achievements. These individual characteristics make every installation a distinct artistic work worth observing closely.
