Bolba block, Administrative block in Simdega district, India.
Bolba is an administrative block located in the southwestern part of the Chota Nagpur Plateau with hilly and undulating terrain. The area covers roughly 289 square kilometers across elevations ranging between 300 and 700 meters.
The region grew from early tribal settlements and was later organized into a Community Development block. Today it functions as an administrative subdivision within Simdega district in Jharkhand state.
The people here speak Sadri and Kharia as main languages, and you can see Christianity, Hinduism, and Sarna traditions practiced in daily life. This mix of languages and beliefs shapes village gatherings and local celebrations.
The block contains 26 villages with wells and hand pumps for water supply, along with nine post offices. Mobile phone coverage is available across the area, and farming is the main livelihood for residents.
The area is home to the Dangadi waterfall, a natural feature that draws visitors to the block. Around a third of the land remains forested, giving the region its green character.
