Inaugurated in 2008 by Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, this memorial center preserves the legacy of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi through photographs and artifacts.

The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation manages this facility, which remains open to visitors throughout the week for educational tours and cultural programs.
Following the impact of Cyclone Hudhud in 2014, the building received recognition as a memorial site and underwent renovations to enhance its educational capabilities.
