Sri Sampath Vinayagar Temple, Hindu temple in Asilmetta, Visakhapatnam, India
The Sri Sampath Vinayagar Temple features black marble construction and stands as a religious center in a commercial district of Visakhapatnam.
Two entrepreneurs, T.S. Rajeshwaran and T.S. Selvaganesan, constructed this temple in 1962 before transferring it to the Andhra Pradesh Endowments Department.
During Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, thousands of devotees gather at the temple to participate in ceremonies and receive blessings from Lord Ganesha.
The temple maintains daily worship schedules from 6:00 AM to 10:30 AM and 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, with free entry for all visitors.
Local naval history records indicate that Admiral Krishnan broke 1001 coconuts at this temple during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War.
