Bicholim taluk

Bicholim taluk is an administrative subdivision stretching across the northeastern section of North Goa district, covering roughly 238 square kilometers. The region encompasses two urban centers, two towns, and numerous villages with varied settlement patterns.

This administrative division developed through successive changes in Goa's governmental organization over time. Its headquarters in Navelim Bicholim became established as the central point of administration for this subdivision.

The local population speaks primarily Konkani in daily life, shaping the character of communities and neighborhoods. You will also hear Marathi and other regional languages woven into the social fabric of the region.
