Delhi Gate

Delhi Gate is an impressive structure featuring a large arched passageway with a columned hall on its right side, displaying classical Islamic architectural design. The monument forms the main entrance to the Dargah Sharif sanctuary in Ajmer.

Mughal emperor Akbar commissioned the gate in 1571 to create an access pathway to the Dargah Sharif. This construction reflects royal support for this important religious destination.
