Mundota Fort and Palace

Mundota Fort and Palace is a fortified residential complex featuring open courtyards, terraces, gardens, and pavilions situated at the foothills of the Aravali Range. The property contains multiple structures across its grounds with different room types, including fort suites, palace accommodations, and heritage cottages.

The fort was established in the 14th century by the Naruka Rajputs, while the palace section was built in the late 15th century by Nathji of the Amer dynasty. These two construction phases shaped the site's development across several centuries.

The architecture blends Indo-Saracenic style with traditional Indian and Mughal influences, visible in hand-painted frescoes and mirror-decorated rooms throughout the building. These decorative choices reflect the tastes of the rulers who once occupied the spaces.

The complex sits roughly 25 kilometers northwest of Jaipur and is straightforward to reach from the city. The grounds are open and easy to explore, with different areas to walk through and discover at your own pace.

The property operates as India's first luxury heritage polo resort, complete with a private horse polo ground and specialized training. This blend of historical setting and modern sport attracts visitors interested in both activities.
