Bissau Palace Hotel, Jaipur

Bissau Palace Hotel is a heritage property on a two-acre plot showcasing traditional Shekhawati architecture with Rajasthani frescoes adorning the walls. The estate features air-conditioned rooms furnished with antiques, three dining venues, a swimming pool, and tennis courts.

The building was constructed in 1874 by Thakur Chandra Singhji as a private residence and converted into a heritage hotel in 1965, becoming Rajasthan's first family-run establishment of this kind. This transformation pioneered heritage hotel tourism in the region.

The hotel displays a collection of weapons and artifacts that reflect the warrior traditions of the Bissau family. Visitors encounter these historical objects throughout the rooms, offering insight into the family's martial heritage.

The hotel sits near the Chand Pol entrance gate and is easy to locate. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes since the property has many historical staircases and traditional layouts with varying floor levels.

Members of the Bissau family still reside on the property and offer guests opportunities to learn traditional Rajasthani cooking directly from the family. This creates a personal connection between visitors and the living history of the palace.
