Kanak Vrindavan, Garden complex near Amber Fort, Jaipur, India

Kanak Vrindavan is a garden complex near Amber Fort divided into eight sections with marble structures and decorative fountains throughout. The grounds surround the Govind Dev Ji temple and feature mirrored walls that create reflections as visitors move through the different areas.

Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh built this garden complex around 280 years ago, naming it after Queen Kankde and the sacred town of Vrindavan. The creation reflected the ruler's practice of combining royal gardens with spiritual significance during his reign.

The garden serves as a pilgrimage destination where visitors encounter devotees worshipping at the Govind Dev Ji temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. The site draws people seeking spiritual connection, and walking through reveals how locals use the grounds for daily religious observance.

The garden sits north of Jaipur and can be walked through easily, with all sections accessible to visitors on foot. Bring sun protection and comfortable shoes, as you will walk across open garden areas and pathways.

The garden surrounds a sacred water source where multiple streams converge, displaying how water was channeled through the ancient design. A temple to Lord Vishnu marks this meeting point and reveals how water held spiritual meaning in the garden's layout.
