Chamatkarji Jain Temple

Chamatkarji Jain Temple is a shrine featuring a central sanctuary topped by a domical ceiling adorned with lotus carvings. Inside the sanctum stands a white marble statue of Rishabhanatha, the first Tirthankar in Jain tradition.

The temple was built during the early medieval period and spans approximately 400 years of history. It was later designated as a Monument of National Importance and stands near Ranthambore Fort.

The temple serves as a gathering place for the Jain community and is actively used by the Digambara sect for worship and spiritual practice. Visitors can observe devotees coming together regularly, especially during major festivals like Mahavir Janma Kalyanak.

The temple is located about 3 kilometers from Sawai Madhopur Railway Station and can be easily reached by local bus or taxi. The best time to visit is outside the intense heat periods, particularly if you want to observe the daily prayer sessions.

The temple hosts an annual gathering during Sharad Purnima that draws Jain pilgrims from across the country. This spiritual meeting marks an important moment in the religious calendar for many followers.
