Hindaun Fort

Hindaun Fort is a medieval fortification in Hindaun, Rajasthan, featuring walls of red sandstone held together with lime mortar. The structure also displays marble elements that reflect regional building techniques from northern India.

The Dagur clan of Jats built this fortification as their stronghold during their resistance against Mughal expansion. The fort shows how local rulers defended their positions against foreign powers.

The fort reflects the military heritage of the region and shows how ruling families displayed their power through architecture. Visitors can still see today the stonework and defensive features that were used by those who lived here.

The fort is accessible to visitors throughout the year and is located in the Karauli District of Rajasthan. The location offers good views from the walls and allows you to explore the structure in any season.
