Dyrhólaey Lighthouse, Coastal lighthouse at Mýrdalshreppur, Iceland.
The white concrete tower with red trim rises 13 meters high on the southern coast, featuring operational quarters on both sides of the structure.
The first lighthouse, constructed in 1910 as a steel tower from Sweden, was replaced by the current concrete structure in 1927.
The name Dyrhólaey derives from the natural arch formation beneath the lighthouse, which local fishermen traditionally called the Blow Hole.
The lighthouse beam reaches 27 nautical miles across the ocean, flashing white signals every 10 seconds to guide maritime vessels along the coast.
Located at Iceland's southernmost mainland point, the lighthouse stands 118 meters above sea level atop dramatic coastal cliffs.
