Ostana

Located 1,250 meters above sea level in the Province of Cuneo, Ostana extends across 16.8 square kilometers of mountainous terrain near Monviso peak.

The population of this alpine settlement decreased steadily throughout the twentieth century until recording its first birth since the 1980s in January 2016.

The annual Ostana Prize, established in 2008, celebrates literature written in minority languages, drawing authors and scholars from different regions.
