Grand Pilier d'Angle, Mountain peak in Courmayeur, Italy.

The Grand Pilier d'Angle rises to 4,243 meters within the Mont Blanc massif, featuring granite formations along its southern face.

James Eccles completed the first valley ascent on July 30, 1877, with guides Michel Payot and Alphonse Payot during their Peuterey ridge expedition.

The mountain holds significance in alpine climbing history, with numerous routes named after pioneering mountaineers who established challenging paths to the summit.

Climbers access the peak through various technical routes, with the Bivacco Giuseppe Lampugnani shelter located 1,009 meters southwest of the summit.
