Fontana della Spinacorona, Renaissance fountain near Santa Caterina della Spina Corona church, Naples, Italy.

The marble fountain features a central sculpture depicting Parthenope, a siren figure with water flowing from her breasts toward Mount Vesuvius.

The fountain underwent reconstruction in 1498 and received additional modifications in the mid-16th century under viceroy Don Pedro Álvarez de Toledo's direction.

The Latin inscription Dum Vesevi Syrena Incendia Mulcet narrates the story of the siren cooling Vesuvius's fires with water from her breasts.

The current structure is a replica created by Achille D'Orsi, while the original fountain resides in the Museo di San Martino since the 1920s.

A mysterious violin carving appears on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius within the fountain's design, with its significance remaining unknown.
