Bivacco Aldo Frattini, Mountain shelter in Valbondione, Italy.

Bivacco Aldo Frattini is a red metal shelter situated at 2,250 meters on the ridge separating Valsecca Valley from Piani del Campo Valley in the Bergamasque Alps. Inside, the hut provides nine folding beds, a table, and basic first aid supplies for those passing through.

This shelter was built by the Italian Alpine Club to provide basic support for mountaineers exploring remote peaks in the region. Its construction reflects the long tradition of creating simple refuges at high altitude across the Italian Alps.

This shelter serves as a meeting point for mountaineers and hikers crossing the Orobie Alps during their journeys. People stop here to rest and connect with others pursuing mountain activities in this remote area.

The shelter is open year-round and managed by CAI Bergamo, with free access for all visitors. It is a basic structure without heating or food service, so visitors need proper mountain gear and self-sufficiency to stay safe.

The metal frame is reinforced with wooden planks and steel tie rods to withstand fierce alpine winds and weather. Its location just beyond Valsecca Pass places it within the Parco delle Orobie Bergamasche protected area.
