Parco regionale delle Orobie Bergamasche

The Orobie Bergamasche Regional Park spans 70,000 hectares across northern Italy, featuring mountain peaks that reach heights of 3,050 meters along the Alpi Orobiche chain.

The regional government established this protected natural area in September 1989, implementing specific conservation measures to safeguard the local environment and wildlife populations.

The territory encompasses 44 municipalities within three mountain communities, where residents maintain traditional practices of summer grazing and dairy production in alpine pastures.

Visitors can explore numerous marked trails throughout the park, with options ranging from valley walks to challenging mountain ascents suitable for different fitness levels.

The Serio River within the park creates Italy's highest waterfall, dropping 315 meters in three cascading levels at Valbondione.
